Terms of Service

1Acceptance

By creating an account, purchasing a lab or subscription, or otherwise using Jade OS Labs, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service. If you use it on behalf of a school or organisation, you represent that you are authorised to bind that entity.

2Eligibility & accounts

• You must provide accurate account information and keep your credentials secure. You are responsible for activity under your account.
• Students under 13 may use Jade OS Labs only through a school's authorisation or with verifiable parental/guardian consent, as described in the Privacy Policy.
• One account is for one person; accounts and seats are not to be shared unless a school licence expressly allows reassignment.

3The service & the plans

Jade OS Labs provides interactive, browser-based learning labs with AI-assisted instruction, assessments and certificates. We currently offer:

• Free tier — access to the current free labs (Typing Tutor, Cosmos Explorer, Lesson Hall) at no cost and no card required. Free labs may change over time.
• All-access subscription — $19/seat per month, giving access to all current and future labs for as long as the subscription is active.
• Single lab — a one-time purchase granting ongoing access to that specific lab.

Features, labs and pricing may evolve. We aim to give reasonable notice of material changes to paid plans.

4Purchases, billing & renewals

• Payment processing: payments are handled by Stripe. We do not store your card details. You authorise the charges you submit.
• Subscriptions renew automatically each billing period until cancelled. You may cancel anytime; cancellation stops the next renewal and access continues to the end of the paid period.
• Single-lab purchases are one-time and grant continued access to that lab, subject to these Terms and the lab remaining available on the platform.
• Taxes may apply depending on your location and are your responsibility unless stated otherwise.

5Refunds

Stated policy (subject to your local consumer-protection rights, which are not waived): single-lab and subscription purchases may be refunded within 14 days of purchase if the lab has not been substantially completed (e.g. no certificate issued). School/bulk agreements follow the refund terms in their contract. To request a refund, email shearperfection369@gmail.com.

6Licence & acceptable use

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to access the labs you are entitled to, for your own learning (or, for schools, for enrolled students). You agree not to:

• copy, resell, sublicense, scrape, or redistribute lab content or share access credentials;
• reverse-engineer, disrupt, or attempt to gain unauthorised access to the platform or other users' data;
• misuse AI instructors (e.g. to generate unlawful, harmful, or infringing content);
• use the service in violation of any applicable law.

7Lab-specific legal compliance

8Intellectual property

Jade OS Labs, its content, software, branding and course materials are owned by JadeOS or its licensors and are protected by law. These Terms grant access, not ownership. Feedback you provide may be used to improve the service without obligation to you.

9Your content

You retain ownership of content you submit (e.g. project work, uploads, messages). You grant us a limited licence to host and process it solely to operate the service (save progress, provide AI responses, issue certificates). You are responsible for having the rights to what you submit.

10Certificates & AI outputs

Certificates evidence completion of a Jade OS Labs assessment; they are not accredited credentials or professional licences unless expressly stated. AI instructors are learning aids and can make mistakes — verify anything important, especially in regulated or safety-critical contexts.

11Schools & organisations

Where a school or organisation purchases seats, that entity is the customer and, for student personal data, the controller under the DPA. Instructors/admins must use rostering and reporting features only for legitimate educational purposes.

12Termination

You may stop using the service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these Terms, unlawful use, or non-payment. On termination, licences end; data handling follows the Privacy Policy and, for schools, the DPA.

13Disclaimers

The service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant uninterrupted or error-free operation.

14Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, JadeOS will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits or data. Our aggregate liability for any claim relating to the service will not exceed the amount you paid to us for the service in the 12 months before the claim. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this may not apply to you.

15Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold JadeOS harmless from claims arising out of your misuse of the service or violation of these Terms or applicable law.

16Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms; material changes will be announced in-app or by email. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.

17Governing law & contact

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Minnesota, United States, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Questions or notices: shearperfection369@gmail.com.
